The US says Pakistan asked the American special envoy to the region to delay a trip to the country, amid tension over American airstrikes in November that accidentally killed 24 Pakistani soldiers at two posts along the Afghan border.US State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Tuesday that Islamabad asked Marc Grossman, the special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, to postpone his trip until the Pakistani parliament concluded a review of US-Pakistan relations triggered by the airstrikes.Another US official said Wednesday that Pakistan conveyed its request about a week ago. The official would not say exactly when Grossman planned to visit Pakistan. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
