Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain today

Foolproof security arrangements have been made for the main Chehlum procession in Lahore, Karachi and other cities of the country. Ban on pillion riding has been imposed from 5pm on Saturday till 12am on Sunday in Karachi and in Lahore city division.According to Home Department, the ban on pillion riding has been imposed to counter possible security threats on the occasion of Chehlum.On the other hand, more than 10,000 police and Rangers officials have been deployed in Karachi on the route of the main procession and around Nishtar Park which is venue of the main Majlis while the bomb disposal squad has ensured technical sweeping at the routes and venues.Moreover police officials have also been deployed at 200 buildings on this occasion in Karachi.
