Engines shortage, fog slow down PR operation

Summary Following the shortage of engines and fuel, fog has disrupted the terrain operation.

The passengers have been shivering with chili cold for hours due to trains’ delay across the country.The trains continue to arrive late at Karachi Cantt Station due to dense fog and shortage of engines. Fareed Express will arrive 11 hours late at 11pm and Allama Iqbal Express will reach at 3pm after a 3-hour delay.Likewise, Night Coach will reach at 5pm after 5 hours delay and Millat Express is expected to arrive at 3:55pm after a 5-hour delay.Meanwhile, Bolan Mail arrived 6 hours late at 1:30 and Karakuram is expexted to reach at 3pm after a 4-hour delay.According to Pakistan Railways authorities, three trains including Hazara Express, Awam Express and Super Express departed on scheduled time from Karachi Cantt railway station.On the other side, most of the trains at Multan Railway Station were delayed as Jaffar Express was 14 hours late and Pakistan Express was 9 hours late while Tezgam and Zakariya Express were delayed for 6 hours and Hazara Express was 5 hours late.In Peshawar, the situation is not different from Karachi or Multan as Khushal Express will arrive at the destination after a 9 hours delay while Khyber Mail and Awam Express will arrive after a 6 hours delay.The passengers and their families are facing many problems due to cold and long delays of the trains.
