Nisar condemns politics on new provinces

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar said there should be no politicking on the issue of creation of new provinces.“PML-N is in favor of creating new provinces. But no harm should be caused to the country in consequence of creation of new provinces. New provinces cannot be carved out through fake speeches or processions. All the political forces will have to sit across the table to address this issue. There should be no politicking on the issue of provinces; he said this while talking to media men outside the parliament house Friday.Drama was enacted and a show of political gimmickry was staged in National Assembly during the last two days, he underlined.The rulers had gone morally and politically bankrupt, he said. Government had not only hiked the tariff of electricity and gas but these two products had become rarity in the country. Prices of petroleum products had soared to peak level, he said. National security was put at stake so much so that loyalties of Jamaat Ali Shah were purchased by India, he alleged. On the other hand government was looking helpless in these matters, he maintained.Dust is being thrown in the eyes of people of Karachi and some politicians are extorting their own bid price from the government and getting their share from the rulers, he alleged.MQM chief was sitting in London for the last 20 years, therefore, he knew nothing about the problems facing the people of Karachi, he observed.MQM was not ready to create even a new district in Karachi; he said adding demarcation of constituencies was also made in Karachi by dint of Musharraf rule.MQM does not allow their political rivals to come out from jails, he alleged. These champions of democracy were so scared of political rivals that no relief was given to them despite court’s orders.PPP and MQM were enacting dramas to divert the attention of people from the real problems, he said.New provinces could not be created in violation of constitutional provisions and law, he remarked. A new commission be constituted in this respect, he added.“We are opposed to creation of new province on the basis of language. Punjab would tolerate language based new province but the other provinces would not tolerate it, he stated.He alleged MQM was working under a specific agenda so that it could succeed in its designs in Sindh. MQM which had charged the government with grabbing kickbacks was now helping the rulers to prolong their rule, he said.
