Summary Finance Ministry has doubled the Railways debt limit by issuing guaranty to PSO for buying diesel.
According to the details the Finance Ministry has doubled the debt ceiling of Pakistan Railways for buying diesel from the PSO.The step has been taken on the directions of the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani. Previously, the Pakistan Railways could buy diesel worth Rs 1 billion on loan. Fropm the next month the Railways is likely to get diesel for a month. Railways General manager Saeed ASkhtar has informed the Dunya News that Railways buys diesel worth Rs 70 million per month.After Finance Ministry’s guaranty, many suspended trains will resume their operations, he added.
