Summary A low intensity earthquake hit Karachi during night between Thursday and Friday.
According to details, the earthquake lasted for three to four second and was of low intensity. The areas where the shocks were felt included Califton, Defence, Guzri, Mahmoodabad, Khayaban-e-Nishat, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, Khayaban-e-Rahat, Khayaban-e-Shujaat and Khayaban-e-Bukhari.According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake was of very low intensity. However, fear gripped the residents and they came out of their houses. No casualty was reported from any part of Karachi.
