Askari Raza murder: Governor orders registration of case

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has ordered registration of Raza Askari’s murder case on the demand of Pasban-e-Jafria who staged sit-in in front of Governor’s House.The Governor also ordered to nominate SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam and Aurangzeb Farooqi in FIR into murder of Raza Askari.The Governor issued these orders in meeting with six-member negotiating team of Pasban-e-Jafria leaders at Governor House during night between Sunday and Monday.Earlier, the workers of Pasban-e-Jafria reached Imam Bargah Ali Raza on MA Jinnah Road with the dead body of Raza Askari where they offered Maghrib prayers. The workers, instead of offering funeral prayers, took the dead body to the Governor’s House and staged a sit-in which is still going on till filing of this report.The Governor’s House authorities held meeting with the representatives of protesters and agreed to register a case against SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam and Karachi president of a religious organization Aurangzeb Farooqi.According to sources, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad ordered registration of case on the instructions from President Asif Ali Zardari.
