Summary Punjab government has decided to seek Supreme Courts help for gas supply to public transport.
Provincial government has prepared a petition in this regard which will be submitted in the Supreme Court by Monday or Tuesday.Punjab government described the Federal Government’s conditions over gas supply for public transport, as an act against public interest.Lahore Transport Company, civil society and other lawyers have unanimously prepared a petition against these measures.According to sources, Chairman of Lahore Transport Company said that Supreme Court in its 2009 suo moto notice granted the commencement of CNG bus project but now government is acting in contradiction to SC’s decision.
