Summary Three people have been killed in motorway pileup caused by dense fog Thursday morning.

At least 50 people have reportedly been injured in the pileup involving dozens of vehicles. The accident took place on the motorway near Farroqabad, Shekikhupura due to dense fog.A convoy of eight vehicles was coming from Islamabad to Lahore when they all and other vehicles rear-ended each other, resulting in a pileup. After the accident, motorway was closed between Thokar Niaz Baig and Pindi Bhattian. 25 seriously injured people were shifted to DHQ Sheikhupura.Dense fog has covered plains of Punjab while motorway from Thokar to Kala Shah Kaku also stands closed.The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dense fog from Peshawar to Sawabi, Islamabad to Lahore and Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad.Motorway police have advised the drivers to drive at a low speed and keep the fog lights on.
