Summary Senate's Standing Committee for Railways held the PR officials responsible for grabbing of railways.
A meeting of Senate’s Standing Committee was held at Railways Headquarter in Lahore on Monday. The committee was given a briefing regarding lands of PR acquired by different department.The committee was told that Punjab government acquired 18 acres land from railways for the construction of hospital on Shalimar link road but did not give alternate land despite of promise.Chairman of the committee, Senator Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi asked the officials to contact with Punjab government and to move into High Court later.The committee also ordered to recover grabbed PR land from Army, Rangers and other government institutions.
