As per details, the federation has submitted its reply in the Supreme Court in which it has been said that according to Article 184, the memo issue does not fall in jurisdiction of the Supreme Court; rather, Parliamentary Committee for national security is authorised to conduct an inquiry into the matter.The federal government and President House already have rejected the contents of the memo, saying that any representative of the federation or Iwan e Sadar has nothing to do with the memo.Mansoor Ijaz and Hussain Haqqani also have submitted their replies in the apex court. Both of them are of the view that they are unwavering and committed to their stances; if the court orders them to appear, they are ready for that, they said.The federation says the government has already rejected allegations published in the Financial Times, adding that resignation also has been taken from Pakistani ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani.According to federation stance, the matter has been handed over to the constitutionally formed committee of the parliament comprised of elected representatives who are reviewing the matters in detail and depth.Moreover, according to the Constitution, the parliament is a supreme institution which can take any step while keeping in view that very sensitivity of circumstances.
