Summary SC issued notice to all including federation regarding oversees Pakistanis right to vote.

Imran Khan had moved a writ petition in the Supreme Court regarding right of vote for oversees Pakistanis which was heard by a three-member bench led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.The petitioner said that there should be representativeness of oversees Pakistanis in the parliament.The attorney general requested the Supreme Court to grant some time to have consultation with Law Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Ministry for Oversees Pakistanis and the Election Commission on the issue.The Supreme Court has issued notices to all parties including the Federal Government and adjourned hearing for two weeks.
