Federal Cabinet meets today in Peshawar

The federal cabinet meeting would be held at the Governor House in Peshawar.The education ministry will present the draft of education policy in the federal cabinet meeting which had been finalized last month.This draft was forwarded by former education minister Ahsan Iqbal to the vice chancellors and experts for their opinion.According to the new policy, five percent of the GDP would be spent on education which is currently less than 2 percent.Meanwhile, chapters on the achievements of national heroes including Nishan-e-Hyder holders would also be included in the syllabus.Moreover, the issues like law and order situation, business related to Hajj and Umra, Pakistan Railways, religious affairs, revenue divisions overseas Pakistanis would also be discussed during the meeting.The provincial government has beefed up the security and has finalised all the arrangements. By keeping in view the security situation, the KP government has directed to deployed additional squad of Frontier Constabulary and Frontier Corps around the Governor House.
