Summary Punjab Assembly session has been put off till 10am Tuesday due to lack of quorum.
The assembly was set to meet at 3 pm on Monday with Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood in the chair.However, when the session started, there were lesser number of MPAs to continue the session.Talking to the media outside the Assembly Hall, PPP leader Raja Riaz said that his party MPs have formed the resolution to demand a seprate province in South Punjab. He said the resolution would now be sumbitted tomorrow. Answers to the questions regarding Excise and Taxation were also on the agenda of the session.The Punjab Government was also to present a bill to put off local bodies poll for 6 months whereas opposition has decided to fully oppose the bill.Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League - Q are likely to pile pressure on Punjab government to budge on the South Punjab issue.
