Summary PM Gilani has said that President Zardari is undergoing a treatment but is not seriously ill.
In a statement, the PM said that he has had a meeting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said had the President been seriously ill, Bilawal would have been at the bedside. He however expressed satisfaction at the treatment the President was undergoing.The PM told Dunya News over the phone that he and Bilawal would be attending a function together. He also said that he did not need to address the nation on the matter, as his spokesman already has issued a clarification in this regard.Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, met Prime Minister Gilani on Wednesday at the Prime Minister House.Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the President went to Dubai at the insistence of his children.A statement from the PM House said the President went to Dubai following symptoms related to his heart condition and after the initial medical tests doctors found him to be in stable condition.The doctors are yet to determine whether the President’s condition was due to adverse reaction to the medication he was taking or a development related to his pre-existing cardiac condition.The President will remain under observation and return to resume his normal functions as advised by the doctors, read an official statement.
