Summary MNA Anjum Aqeel was sent on physical remand for 5 days in National Police Foundation land case.
The FIA officials presented Anjum Aqeel in the court of duty judge Usman Awan who ordered to hand over the accused to the FIA police on physical remand for five days.The defence counsel Zafer Ali Shah while presenting his arguments said that Anjum Wakeel is a patient of heart and could not be sent on physical remand in accordance with any law regarding recovery of land. The lawyer also pleaded that the FIA has already have had a physical remand of accused; so there is no need of further remand. On the other hand, counsel for the Police Foundation Babar Saeed said that the investigation of land measuring 45 kanal and recovery of amount is yet under process. Anjuma Aqeel was arrested from the premises of court after cancellation of his bail.He is accused of committing corruption of billion of rupees in the Police Foundation.
