White House has categorically denied Mansoor Ijaz’s latest allegations that President Asif Ali Zardari and the then envoy to US Husain Haqqani were aware of May 2 US raid in Abbottabad which killed Osama bin Laden.“Reports claiming Ambassador Haqqani or President Zardari had advance knowledge of the May 2 Abbottabad operation are groundless”, said White House spokesperson Caitlin Hayden.“In order to safeguard our men-in-action as well as the mission itself, the intelligence was not shared with anyone”, Hayden added.Hayden was categorical that US made it sure that no one in Pakistan knew they were going to attack Osama Bin Laden’s compound in the country’s army’s hometown.
