Summary During PPP parliamentary party meeting, PM announced to allocate RS70m to each PPP MPA in Punjab.
The meeting of parliamentary party of Pakistan People’s Party Punjab was held under headship of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in Governor House. The leadership of PPP has decided to warm up political activities on provincial level and to take members into confidence on memo issue. The PM has reportedly consented to lifting of ban on appointments in government departments. Before the meeting of parliamentary party, the governor Punjab invited the participants in a dinner, where members also discussed the initiation of ‘Wafaq Bachao’ movement. Members Punjab assembly and federal minister from Punjab are also attending the meeting.According to sources, the members of Punjab Assembly burst out in the meeting against bureaucracy. They demanded to provide job quota for their brothers and sons. PPP members also asked prime minister to issue them arm licenses. Later, the prime minister has accepted the demand to issue arm licenses to MPAs, the sources learnt.In a major decision, the prime minister has announced to allocate funds worth Rs 70 million to each MPA of PPP in Punjab Assembly.
