Summary LHC has accepted petition for hearing regarding inclusion of Haqqani name in the list of ECL.
When hearing of case started in the LHC, the petitioner told the court that former Pakistani ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani may escape from the country at any time. So, his name should be included in list of ECL for, so that comprehensive inquiry may be conducted in accordance with rule of law.The LHC while accepting writ petition for hearing has sought explanation from the federal government within three weeks. The court has also sought an explanation from federal government within three weeks.
