Such reports are concocted, baseless and unfounded, the ISPR said.Any contemplated negotiation/reconciliation process with militant groups has to be done by the government, an ISPR spokesperson said.Western media has been reporting that the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and the Pakistani military have held preliminary talks to lay ground for full-blown peace talks. Such reports quoted an unmanned Taliban commander as its sources, which dented credibility of such reports further.
