Memons resignation lands on Qaims table

His resignation, dated for Saturday, has been received by the Sindh chief minister. Memon sent the resignation to President Zardari while directed a copy to the Sindh chief minister, Qaim Ali Shah.Earlier, Memon had said Zulfiqar Mirza is his friend and would remain a friend in future.Speaking to the media in Karachi, Memon had said that friendship and career are two different things and should not be mixed.Memon said that he accepts party’s decisions but Zulfiqar Mirza is his old friend and will remain his friend in future.“There can be people holding two different opinions in the same party, similarly, whatever Mirza is doing is his personal activity and the party is not involved in it,” he added.Memon also reiterated that he had gone to London on a personal trip and it had no relation to Mirza’s activity.It is worth mentuioning that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had questioned Memon’s presence with Mirza in London, where the latter had gone to submit evidence to Scotland Yard against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
