Summary The federal cabinet approved import of electricity from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved a Memorandum of Understanding for import of electricity from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to help the country meet its growing energy shortfall and meet domestic, industrial requirements.The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani also approved signing of MoU between Board of Investment Pakistan and State Committee on Investments and the State Property Management of Tajikistan. It approved enhancement of weight limit of printed books from two kilograms to seven kilograms to facilitate low cost transport of books.
