Summary More than 100 aircraft including Pakistan JF17 Thunder fighter will also take part in Dubai Airshow.

Running from Nov. 13 to 17 at the city’s Airport Expo, the Dubai Airshow is expected to attract more than 1,000 exhibitors and nearly 55,000 visitors, up about four percent from the previous show in 2009, organizers said in a statement.Making its Middle East debut is the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a twin-engine, fuel-saving carbon-fiber passenger jet which went into service in Japan a few weeks ago.“The Middle East has demonstrated extraordinary resilience in the face of global economic slowdown, and this is reflected in the significant growth experienced in both the commercial aviation and defense sectors,” Boeings Middle East president Jeffrey Johnson was quoted by Gulf News as saying.Also appearing in the region for the first time are Pakistan Air forces JF17 Thunder fighter, the Bell/Boeing V-22 Osprey which can take off and land like a helicopter and fly like an airplane, the Apache MH-60 helicopter, as well as AAIs Shadow 200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.The daily flying demonstration will also display a full complement of both civil and military aircraft, including the Eurofighter Typhoon, Boeings F18 Super Hornet and Dassaults Rafale fighter.Reflecting the 40th anniversary of the UAE, the flying display will open with the countrys own aerobatic team, Al Fursan, which will fly Alenia Aermacchi aircraft.
