Summary CJP has said he will direct chairman NAB to investigate corruption in Railways.
He also made ex-minister Sheikh Rashid and Senator Zafar Ali Shah a party in the case. He said for transparency in the Railways the corrupt officials could be sent to jail.The Railways officials presented a report regarding the restoration of the department. The report said the railways restoration needs Rs 28 billion. The court expressed dissatisfaction over the report saying with this kind of amount new Railways could be established.Sheikh Rashid said after suo moto notice, some corrupt officials have been sacked. He said the deal with China on railway engines has not been cancelled.
