Summary A remote control blast and a premature suicide attempt rocked Quetta city.
In first instance, a remote control blast took place in Mastung Road in which a convoy of security forces was targeted by unknown attackers. However all the security personnel escaped unhurt.In other incident, a suicide bomber, who allegedly intended to target an Imam Bargah, got killed in a premature explosion in Hazara Town of Quetta city.Hamid Shakeel, deputy inspector general in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, says the Saturday incident took place on the outskirts of the city.He says a man in his 20s was heading toward a Shiite mosque when his explosive-rigged suicide vest went off prematurely, a little short of his apparent target.
