Summary PPP devised strategy for 2013 general election by announcing new party organization in south Punjab.
An important meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party’s leaders was held in Bilawal House Karachi chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari. Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa also attended the meeting. It is decided in the meeting to set up separate party organization in south Punjab and Makhdoom Shahab uddin was appointed as the PPP’s president in south Punjab.On the other side, third round of talks between PPP and MQM regarding new local bodies system held in CM house Karachi. It was agreed in the meeting to decide about the new local bodies system after consulting with the legal and constitutional experts.Sources said that new ordinance will no be promulgated regarding local bodies system after that old commissionerate system will automatically be revived. The new draft of local bodies system will be approved from the Sindh assembly after Eid.
