Govt seeks report from Pak High Commissioner on spot-fixing case

Summary Rehman Malik said that government has sought report from Pakistani High commissioner on spot-fixing.

Talking to media at Karachi Airport, Interior Minister Rehman Malik termed sentences to Pakistani cricketers deplorable. He said that corruption in cricket was started with ball tempering and the incidents of match fixing should be investigated from the beginning. He asserted to form a commission on spot fixing case and assured to provide legal assistance to the convicted Pakistani cricketers.”We have sought report from Pakistani High Commissioner regarding spot-fixing case, Malik said.Ironically, on one side Rehman Malik is talking about possibilities of bringing the convicted players back in the country while on the other side, former Law Minister Babar Awan is discussing the possibilities to register cases against the cricketers in Pakistani courts.
