Bugti case: BHC orders govt to bring Musharraf, Aziz back

Summary The BHC ordered the government to bring back all the accused of Bugti case to Pakistan.

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice directed the government to bring back former president Pervez Musharraf, ex prime minister Shaukat Aziz and others named in Akbar Bugti murder case to Pakistan through Interpol.The court issued the order during the hearing regarding Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.BHC Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faiz Essa remarked that the government had signed extradition treaty with certain countries in 1972. Under article 15 of this treaty it was responsibility of federation to bring back to country Pervez Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, former chief minister Balochistan Jam Muhammad Yousuf, former home minister Balochistan and Shoaib Nowshervani as they are nominated in the case.Esa said all those, either civil or from military, who had information about the murder be included in the investigation.It is pertinent to mention here that a local court had already issued arrest warrants for Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz.
