Summary Transparency team met NAB Chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari.
The two sides discussed the process of accountability and the areas of mutual cooperation between the two organisations to root out corruption from society.Various issues related to accountability, anti-corruption laws and awareness in regulatory mechanisms were discussed during their meeting on Monday.According to a news release, the NAB chairman informed the Transparency International that NAB is carrying out a comparative study of the Accountability Bill. He stressed that the experience of NAB had not been considered in the drafting of the bill. A seminar was proposed to be held by inviting stakeholders for soliciting their views on improvements to the Accountability Bill.
