Parliamentary body on judges appointment to meet on Nov 4

The meeting will be held under the Chairman Nayyer Bukhari. The meeting will discuss the recommendations of Judicial Commission. Parliamentary Committee will approve the names of four Supreme Court’s permanent judges and three additional judges of Islamabad High Court. The meeting will also approve the appointment of the CJPs of Lahore and Peshawar high courts.Earlier, the commission recommended the appointments of Justice Ijaz Chaudhry from Lahore, Justice Ijaz Afzal from Peshwar and justice retired Athar Saeed for Supreme Court and justice Azmat Saeed as CJ Lahore High Court and Justice Dost Mahammed Khan as Chief Justice Peshwar High Court.
