Summary PM Gilani has said government could not be toppled down by rallies and making noise.
The election would be held on prescribed schedule, he said while speaking to the Pakistani community in Australia on Saturday.He said that it seems that Nawaz Sharif neither learnt anything from his exile nor from sentence as he is still far from political maturity. The PML-N wants to terminate democracy, but the government would not let this happen.The PM asked why they did not give a sit-in on 12 October 1999 when their government was overthrown by a dictator. They did not hold any demonstration when Nawaz Sharif was banished but they should realise that the politics of protest could not succeed.He said that federal government always supported the Punjab government, as it could not allow anyone to pull down the provincial government. He said that PPP is the symbol of federation and its opponents are only in one portion of the country.Gilani said the PPP respects the judiciary and ministers are appearing before the court. He said that opposition should wait for 2013 when general elections would be held.
