Summary Information Minister said Saturday insulting language by Shahbaz is an attack on parliament.

Talking to the media at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the president was elected by all the provincial assemblies, including Punjab Assembly, unanimously, and criticising the office of the president was unconstitutional.She said the Constitution gave procedure of impeachment if the opposition had the required numbers of votes in the parliament. She said protests, rallies and sit-ins were beauty of democracy and politics was incomplete without them but the PML-N leadership used dirty language in the protest which was unacceptable.The federal minister said democracy is damaged whenever political parties start confrontation, adding all parties would be affected if democracy is dented.She alleged the PML-N always protested against democratic powers, adding that it had never organised rallies against any dictator. “The PML-N leadership will flee to Jeddah when a dictator comes,” she added.Dr Firdous said the PPP is passing through a period of grief and it is “Yazidiat” to hurt someone who is mourning, adding that patience was a tradition of “Hussainiyat” and the PPP is facing abuses with patience.She said it is dangerous that a psychic patient is ruler of the largest province, adding that Nawaz Sharif should get his brother treated. In response to a question, she said the PPP believed in dialogue and doors of dialogue are opened for everyone, even for the PML-N.
