Summary The SC Chief Justice has taken suo motu notice of non-payment of salaries to Railways employees.
In this regard, a notification has been issued to the Chairman Pakistan Railways and the Attorney General for October 28.A two-member bench of the Supreme Court led by Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry would conduct hearing of the case.It is worth mentioning that retire employees are holding protest demonstrationsagainst non-payment of salaries and pension.Last day, an ill-fated retired employee passed away due to heart attack after struggling of two month for pension worth Rs 5,000.
