Summary Polling is continuing in LA19 Ponch 3; however, different areas witnessed delay due to rain.
The seat of LA 19 Ponch 3 became vacant after election of PPP’s Sardar Yaqoob as President Azad Kashmir. There are total 104203 registered voters in this constituency. There are set up 154 polling stations.Fifty two polling stations are declared sensitive. More than 4000 police personnel are also deployed for security purposes. A tough competition is expected between candidates of PML-N and Jamaat –e-islami.Opposition parties have leveled the allegation of rigging on the government. However, government terms the allegations as routine hue and cry of the opposition.
