Summary The Sindh High Court restored petition for hearing filed for enquiry into May 12 riots.
The division bench of Sindh High Court, comprising Chief Justice SHC Musheer Alam and Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh, has accepted the petition filed to investigate the violent incidents of May 12. However the court adjourned the hearing indefinitely.Applicant Iqbal Kazmi was the party in the larger bench’s hearing of the enquiry of May 12 incidents but he withdrew his petition two times. Kazmi, in his application to SHC, argued that he withdrew the petition under pressure therefore it should be restored.Former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, ex-interior minister for Sindh and others are respondents in the case.
