The number of casualties by dengue has reached 217 in Lahore.Dengue is yet uncontrollable in the provincial capital as with the passage of time, more people are falling victim to this disease. Amina, 36, of Karishan Nagar died at Ganga Ram Hospital while 42-year-old Shah Jahan of Thokar Niaz Beg and 18-year-old Hina of Model Town passed away at Jinnah Hospital.On the other hand, 23-year-old Isharat, resident of Toba Tek Singh died of dengue at Allied Hospital in Faisalabad.In Multan, 17 new patients were admitted in Nishtar Hospital within 24 hours, taking the number of dengue patients to 422.According to the Health Department, about 16,928 dengue patients have recovered while total number of patients has reached 17,164 in Punjab.
