Hameed Akhtar was under treatment in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital for several months. On Sunday night, his condition became unstable and he passed away.Hameed Akhtar started his journalistic career in 1948, soon after the creation of Pakistan. He resigned as editor “Amroz” and started writing columns. There are eight books on his credit.
