Summary The increase in power tariff has been challenged in Lahore High Court.
The petitioner’s lawyer Mateen-ul-Haq Chaudhry took the stance before the court that the government has put undue burden over the masses by increasing power tariff by Rs 3.04 due to which price hike will further increase in the country.He prayed to the court to issue stay order against power tariff hike as loadshedding continues across the country despite already higher electricity rates.
