Summary Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral M Asif Sandila called on Sindh CM and governor on Thursday.
Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan warmly welcomed the newly appointed chief and discussed matters of mutual interest.Syed Qaim Ali Shah appreciated the role of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy in providing relief to the victims of torrential rain in the lower Sindh. The Chief Minister said that lives of innocent poor people were saved and relief activities were expedited due to active involvement of the personnel belonging to the two services.The governor said the support, provided by Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Army to the affected people, was particularly outstanding in terms of medical support and timely availability of food besides other needed relief work.Sandila said that Navy being the important fighting force would maintain high level of operational preparedness at all time and would focus to strive hard and achieve optimum professional proficiency.
