Summary The federal cabinet has ordered all departments to pay electricity bills within 45 days.
According to sources, domestic users, federal departments and provincials department have to pay Rs 210 billion to PEPCO.The KESC and Sindh government also have to pay Rs 36 billion each to PEPCO. Punjab, KP and Balochistan owe Rs 18 billion, Rs 15 billion and Rs 13 billion respectively. Domestic consumers of Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan are defaulters of Rs 39 billion, Rs 31 billion, Rs 38 billion and Rs 18 billion respectively.PEPCO and distribution companies have issued notices many a time to the defauletrs to pay the dues but no recovery has been made yet.
