Summary Investigators have assured BHC they would get arrest warrants of Musharraf in a month.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and Justice Abdul Qadir Mangal resumed the hearing of application filed by Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti on non-compliance of FIR in the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.During proceedings, Crime Branch presented the report on the investigation of murder of former Akbar Bugti in the court. The report said that the investigation agency has the arrest warrant of former provincial Home Minister Shoaib Nosherwani, whereas probe team has recorded the statements of ex-governor Awais Ghani and former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao in which they said that the operation against Nawab Bugti in Baluchistan was launched by the Pak Army and civil administration was not taken into confidence.Chief Justice BHC Qazi Faiz Isa asked Director Crime Branch that why the warrant of key accused of the case, Pervez Musharraf was not issued yet. On which he told the bench that Musharraf is outside the country but Crime Branch has written to the government to get his warrant as soon as possible. “We will get Musharraf’s arrest warrant before 1st November,” said Director Crime Branch.During hearing the lawyers of applicant Jamil Akbar Bugti, Barrister Saif Ullah Magsi, Barrister Adnan Kasi and Sohail Ahmed Rajput told the court that the statements of Awais Ghani and Aftab Sherpao have no worth. The court instructed Deputy Attorney General to submit the copies of extradition agreements with the countries including USA, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland where the nominated accused of Bugti case have been residingThe court also directed Director Crime Branch to present the original statements of the accused in the court.
