Summary PPP and PML-Q have submitted privilege motion against Unification Block leader Dr Tahir Ali Javed.
Dr Tahir on Sunday came up with the idea of dissolving the Punjab Assembly and said the PML-N needed to take bold and aggressive steps to bar the PPP from gaining a majority in the upcoming Senate election.The motion submitted in the Punjab Assembly carries signature of 108 PPP lawmakers and 29 Q-League members. Dr Tahirs proposal to dissolve the assembly is unconstitutional and undemocratic, the motion said.PML-Q MPA Seemal Kamran noted that Unification Block leader has violated the constitution and the demand has breached her mandate.PPP Deputy Parliamentary Leader Shaukat Mehmood Basra while talking to media said the statement is part of conspiracy and dissolution of the assembly to block Senate polls is violation of the constitution and an act of treachery. Basra also sought suo motu notice by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
