GILGIT (Dunya News) - At least six people were killed and several others injured after a tourist bus plunged into a ravine while travelling on the Karakoram Highway in Diamer, rescue officials told Dunya News said Sunday.
The incident took place near Thalichi where the speeding coach was taking turn. The victims belonged to Punjab. Police and rescue teams, including Rescue 1122, are in the process of retrieving the bodies and the injured and shifting them to hospitals.
According to the reports, there were 20 passengers in the coach when the deadly incident took place.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the sad incident. He directed the authorities to expedite the relief operation and provide best treatment to the injured.
