Summary The government has decided to send Osamas widows and eight children to their native countries
The decision was taken after the Abbottabad Commission removed the ban on their movement.The government officials have contacted with Yemen and Saudi officials. Osama’s three widows and children are in Pakistan. They were taken in custody from Osama’s Abbottabad residence. Osama’s wife Amal Ahmad was injured on May 2 American operation in Abbottabad.The Abbottabad Commission led by Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal allowed the widows and children of Osama bin Laden to leave the country as their statements have been recorded. According to a notification issued by the commission, the statements of bin Laden’s widows and daughters had been recorded and they were no longer required.The commission recommended that the compound of bin Laden be handed over the local authorities. The commission earlier interviewed DG ISI Gen Shuja Pasha and gathered details about the American raid.Bin Laden’s wives were earlier barred from leaving Pakistan because the commission wanted them to be present in the country till detailed questioning.
