Summary Protests against loadshedding continue in different cities of Punjab.
Violent protests, demonstrations and strikes against power cut continued on third day in Punjab as the energy crisis is aggravating in the country.Gujranwala saw violent demonstration in protest against power outages last two days. Annoyed people on Wednesday staged a sit-in vowing to keep their protest up until the loadshedding ends.Complete shutter-down strike was observed in Sargodha, where markets and commercial centers are closed on Wednesday with tires burnt on different points in the city. People were demanding of the government to curtail the loadshedding duration.Attock is also on complete shutter-down strike against power crisis. Citizens in Faisalabad said their 15 to 20 hours of power outages badly affected their business activities.The life is seen adversely affected with ten hours of power outages in urban areas of Multan and 16-hour long spans in rural areas of south Punjab.Power shortfall exceeded 6,000 Megawatts on Wednesday, compounding the power crisis even more.
