No one arrested in Dr Imran Farooq murder case: UK police

Summary UK police has said that no one has been arrested from Pakistan in Dr Imran Farooq murder case.

The London Metropoliton police said that it was still investigating the murder of Dr Imran Farooq.According to a letter, the Counter Terrorism Command chief of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), Commander Richard Walton wrote that they had released an estimated fit of a man whom they wish to speak to in connection with Dr Farooq’s murder.Walton wrote that they had issued appeals to the public to step forward and assist in identifying a second Asian man whom the MPS wished to trace in connection with the incident.The letter further said that a number of rumours and incorrect stories were circulating in the London and Pakistani presses in connection to the case. MPS clarified that so far a 35 year old male had been arrested in Camden on December 9, 2010.It quashed media reports that the MPS had arrested three further suspects and conducted two searches in London. It also refuted the report that arrests were carried out in Pakistan on the request of MPS.
