MQM convenes meeting on Ns protest proposal

The meeting of MQM senators and MNAs has also been called to mull over ongoing protests against power cuts and other public issues facing the country. The offer by the PML-N to organise joint protests against the government will also be discussed in the meeting, reports said.According to the reports, the main purpose of summoning party senators and MNAs is to hold a joint meeting of the elected members and MQM Rabita Committee.The countrywide public protests against power loadshedding, price hike and other public issues are included in the agenda of MQM joint meeting. The MQM also intends to form a strategy to express public sentiments and present their issues on party and the parliament level.In a statement reflecting the mood in the MQM, Farooq Satter earlier said that the people were losing confidence in the democratic set-up. He said the government should fulfill its responsibilities properly.
