Summary Violent protests against loadshedding in different cities of Punjab, KP and Kashmir continue.
The power crisis has worsened in Faisalabad where FESCO has withdrawn the schedule and started 18-hour unannounced loadshedding.The industrial and business activity has been halted due to severe load shedding in the city. The power looms workers staged protest rallies in different areas of the city and blocked the roads.Meanwhile, shutter down strike is being observed in Gujranwala where the citizens burnt tyres and blocked Sialkot Bypass. On the other side, a heavy contingent of police has been deployed in GEPCO office while the staff has been sent on leave.Moreover, large number of police force has also been deployed in different areas of the city. Protests were also staged in various cities of the country yesterday.
