Summary Chairman NDMA admits distribution of relief goods to flood victims on political basis.
Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club Chairman Disaster and Management Authority (NDMA) Zafar Iqbal Qadir admitted that relief goods to flood victims were being distributed on political basis.He said that nearly 8.1 million people had been affected by recent monsoon rainfall. He also inaugurated a telemedicine clinic for flood affected areas on this occasion. Chairman NDMA said that this facility was initiated in collaboration with Aman Foundation to control epidemic diseases and to treat the sick people in flood affected areas.He further said that there had been received complaints about irregularities in distribution of relief goods. “An inquiry of these complaints has been ordered,” he said.
