MD Pepco issued orders for Sharafat Sial as chief executive Lesco, while board of directors appointed Salim Akhtar for the same slot. According to a report severe differences have emerged between the board of directors and MD Pepco. Salim Akhter tenure was completed yesterday but board of directors extended his employment. But MD Pepco rejected it and appointed Sharafat Sial. Today when the chief executive Sharaft Sial came to take charge, Saleem Akhtar got the offices locked instead of giving the charge. MD pepco has said the tenure of Saleem Akhtar was over and Sharafat Sial has taken over as new Chief Executive Lesco. The sources have revealed the appointment of chief executive is the prerogative of the Pepco administration and ministry of water and power endorses it.
